The following terms apply to the Brakes Plus Mechanical Labor and Parts Warranty (“the Warranty”).
Who Gets the Warranty: The Warranty applies to the original purchaser (“you”) of Brakes Plus services and may not be assigned, including to a subsequent purchaser or owner of any applicable motor vehicle.
Where to go for Service and/or Replacement: The Warranty will be honored at all locations owned by Brakes Plus (“us,” “we” or “Brakes Plus”). See complete store address list at https://www.brakesplus.com/stores/. To obtain warranty service, you must present a legible physical or digital copy of your sales invoice/receipt and service record, along with the part covered by the warranty.
Consumer Rights: The Warranty may give you certain rights, such as the right to receive replacement mechanical service parts, brake pads, or brake shoes. You may also have other consumer rights under law, which may vary from state to state.
Conditions and Exclusions: Nothing in the Warranty is intended as a representation that mechanical service part, brake pad, or brake shoe failure cannot occur. To the extent permitted by law, liability for consequential damages is disclaimed, and the durations of implied warranties (if any) are limited to the duration of the express warranties herein. However, some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so the aforementioned exclusion and limitation may not apply to you.
Your Obligations: It is your obligation to properly maintain your vehicle (and the parts in or on the vehicle) by ensuring that, among other things, your vehicle receives reasonable necessary maintenance and is subjected only to normal use (collectively, “Proper Vehicle Care”). This Warranty will not apply to your serviced vehicle if it has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, or alteration.
What is covered and for how long: If you purchase mechanical services from us, and we provide you with the mechanical service parts outlined in the table below while performing those services on your vehicle, unless otherwise stated, those parts are warranted according to the terms outlined in the table below. The duration of warranties for commercial-use vehicles are shorter due to extreme usage and are not summarized in the table below.
For each part outlined in the chart below, Brakes Plus provides both a “part warranty,” under which you may be entitled to a free replacement part, and a “labor warranty,” under which you may be entitled to free mechanical labor for that service or the installation of that part. For example, where the duration of a warranty is listed as “12 months/12,000 miles,” that means the warranty lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Similarly, where the duration of a warranty is listed as “3 months/3,000 miles,” that means the warranty lasts for 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. Where your part has a “lifetime” part warranty, you are always entitled to a free replacement part, but if the duration of the labor warranty for that part has expired, you will be charged at the then-current labor rate for mechanical labor on that part (e.g., installation). Parts not listed in the chart below and Original Equipment parts are covered under a 12 months/12,000 miles warranty. Additional repairs at standard pricing may be necessary when performing warranty work.
