I am sending this letter to express my sincere appreciation for the business from Brakes Plus off of 8th street located at 740 Abbott Lane, Colorado Springs, CO, 80905.

Mike Beres and his team there at Brakes Plus are great. The hospitality and professionalism every time I walk in is wonderful. AS a mild mechanic myself, I appreciate this and refer my coworkers, close friends, neighbors and family members.

I want to point out some individuals. Chris and Zack have worked on my vehicles many times. I have been pleased every time. They both handle my vehicles with care are thorough with the work they do. I know there are more technicians that I'm leaving out and have done work for me such as: alignments, oil changes, brake work to include emergency brake issues and rear diff. issues etc. Managers such as Mike, John and Dave have been great as well. Their bays look clean and the waiting area is always comfortable and pleasant. The managers are always willing to work with the customer and explain with detail what they are doing. This is greatly appreciated.

I just want to express my gratitude to this Brakes Plus location. I have done business with this location for years. There are other locations that are closer to where I live but I choose this one due to many reasons. They stand apart from many others. There is something special about Mike and his team. It is hard to trust and rely without a doubt these days. And with this Brakes Plus location, it is easy.

I just wanted to say that your store at: 2930 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907, is outstanding. They are the most knowledgeable, friendly, and honest staff I have ever known. I have been customer there for over 2 years and never once was I ever disappointed with the quality of service, even when they made a slight miscalculation when doing an alignment; they fix the problem without any fuss, with a smile, and at no cost to me. I have also been at several other stores in the area, and they too are just as pleasant to work with. It's a breath of fresh air knowing that there is a company out there dedicated to this level of excellence, and also stands by their work."

"I just wanted to mention that I had another wonderful experience at Brakes Plus. I went to the Longmont location, where Tracy, Darin and others provided excellent customer service and fixed all issues with my Jeep.

I usually go to the dealership, but they are not very close. So I took it in to Brakes Plus to replace my rear brakes, have fluid exchanged, and fix a leak. During the process I found out that the dealership forgot to put my oil dipstick back in when I last had my oil change, and the leak was coming from the filter when they replaced it. Also the dealership was telling me to replace things that are not even an issue. I have never had a good experience at the dealership, but have always had a good one at brakes plus. Even though I have prepaid for oil changes until 2012 at the dealership, i will not go back. I know where I will go from now on.

I have been a customer of the Brake Plus located at Evans and Colorado for at least 7 years and even though I have spent most of the last 4 years traveling or living in my Durango area property, I refuse to go anywhere else, always planning a trip to Denver around the time my cars need oil change. The reason? the few times my husband or I took any of our vehicles anywhere else, there were always issues (caps left off, incomplete or rude service just to mention a couple), but none when we take it to Brake Plus Evans. Not only is the staff polite and professional, but the manager is always, always friendly, respectful, and in a good mood. My husband and I have always been completed pleased with their friendly and professional service...worth the planning the 300+ miles drive around the time the vehicles need the change."

I have been unemployed for months and been delaying necessary repair work on my F150. Ron got me in today with no appt despite the fact they were busy with scheduled appts and was very empathetic to my situation. I have two teen drivers both with older model cars that require quite a bit of attention. Chad Meester, an employee of your Highlands Ranch East store, has time and time again proven that there are still reputable, trustable, and reliable mechanics in this penny-pinching, corner-cutting world we live in.

In my recent interaction with Chad (as with prior interactions), he tackled the ridiculous quote assessed by my dealership head on, explaining to the less mechanically inclined (Me) exactly what I was being charged for. By being patient with my questions and giving me a few intricate details of the repair process, I got a much better look at where my money was going, pulling me from the dark and giving me just one more reason to continue my patronage of Brakes Plus®.

"Kudos to the employee who handled my visit! I apologize though because I cannot remember his name. If all your employees are as courteous and thorough as him, then you have a great staff and quite possible a fantastic training program. Specific information about the location I visited is included below.

I had visited several other companies previously, requesting several specific repairs be done on my vehicle, and quite frankly, I was totally disappointed with everything. The first such repair was the brakes, I wasn’t experiencing any problems, I just knew it was time to get them serviced. About a week after the repair the brakes started squealing, so I returned to the shop and they said it was normal and shouldn’t last more than a week, so I waited. About a month later, my vehicle was due for an oil change, so when I took it in for that, to different company, I asked them to inspect the brakes, since the squealing had gotten much worse. I also asked them to check the shocks and struts, rotate the tires and check the alignment because the whole “ride” of my vehicle just seemed to be getting “loose”. They rotated the tires and informed me that the brakes, shocks, struts and alignment were fine. The squealing brakes continued to get worse, and now I had a noticeable pull to the right, a shimmy in the steering wheel, and it felt looser than ever. I rode it this way for about a week and planned to go back to the second company again this weekend, but then I got one of your coupons in the mail. I figured, Hummmm… I have a brake problem, and these guys have “Brakes” in their name – maybe I should have them look at my brakes. So I made an appointment to have them just check out my brakes and brought my vehicle in yesterday.

Within 20 minutes of my arrival, the nice gentleman I mentioned earlier had me in the back explaining what they found. He showed me how the front brakes had been improperly installed and explained how that would cause the squealing and that it would get progressively worse and damage the brake pads – very knowledgeable. He also showed me that the rear drums had been improperly machined past recommended specs and suggested new drums. He then mentioned that the shocks and struts looked old and worn and asked if I had been experiencing any problems with them. My answer was of course “Yes”. He then explained the current special and that they would have to do an alignment at the same time. I’m thinking “Great!” He then asked about my transmission, fuel injectors, spark plugs and wires. You know: this guy was impressive, knowledgeable, and confident, so I agreed to get all this done as well. I also got the impression that if I were to say no to any of these repairs; it would have been fine with him. I really do not believe he would have tried to pressure me into any of them. If you’re taking votes for employee of the month, he’s got my vote.

OK, but all this was pre-maintenance, the true test would come after the repairs were made. And once again I am impressed and this time pleased with the work. The ride home last night was smooth and felt very tight. There is still a slight shimmy in the steering wheel (considerably less than before), but I think that is the tires, which I need to replace before this coming winter anyway. And there used to be an annoying squeak that sounded like it was coming from the engine compartment, which has apparently gone away.

"I wanted to take a minute to let you know how impressed I am with Brakes Plus®. I just moved to Parker from Colorado Springs and was a bit worried about switching from "my" Brakes Plus®. However, I just received service from the shop in Parker and all my fears were put to rest. How refreshing it is to find a chain of stores that have consistent friendliness and customer service. My car has always been ready for pick up during the time I've been quoted (imagine). The staff never hesitates to go the extra mile. In Colorado Springs I went to Brakes Plus® to find out how much it would cost me to have a headlight put in. The employee did it for free and wouldn't even take the tip I offered.
